Monadnock batons Monadnock has been making police equipment since 1958. Monadnock specializes in police batons, restraints, and training aids. Monadnock is best known for their collapsible police batons. All of the Monadnock products are American made and backed by a lifetime product guarantee. Monadnock is based out of New Hampshire. As stated earlier, Monadnock was founded in 1958. At the beginning, Monadnock manufactured Monpac and polycarbonate riot batons, night sticks, and billy clubs. Monadnock was one of the leading founders of the PR-24 baton for police officers. The PR-24 police baton was and still is a key piece of the daily police equipment. As time passed, technology increased. Monadnock has taken that technology and used it to manufacture a better baton. They specialize in the positive lock and friction lock expandable batons. Monadnock produces the following products: AutoLock Batons, AutoLock Defender, AutoLock Jr. Batons, AutoLock HG Batons, Classic Friction Lock Batons, Positive Lock Batons, PR-24 Control Batons, Monpac Batons, restraints, and baton holders. The Monadnock AutoLock police batons are available in 16", 18", 21", 22", and 26" lengths. The batons can come in a black chrome or bright nickel finish with either a super grip or foam grip. The thing that sets this baton apart from the other manufactures is that once expanded, the baton will not collapse until a button is pushed. The Monadnock AutoLock Defender is a collapsible police baton similar to the AutoLock baton except for one added feature. The AutoLock Defender protects the officer's gun hand from hostile strikes by covering it with a guard that goes over the knuckles. The guard also helps keep the baton firmly in the officer's hand during blocking, striking, and jabbing techniques. The AutoLock Defender is only available in black chrome and has the length options as the AutoLock. The Monadnock AutoLock Jr. has the same operating concept as any other AutoLock baton, but is smaller. The AutoLock Jr. is only 9.5" long. This miniature baton is great for bodyguards, bails bondsman, investigators, private detectives, and security officers. The Monadnock AutoLock HG is a larger diameter collapsible police baton. The HG stands for heavy gauge. The increase in diameter means more striking power. The AutoLock HG is available in a black chrome finish and 21" or 22" length. The Monadnock Classic Friction lock batons are the standard 3 stage telescopic batons. They are available in a black gun, black chrome, bright chrome, or bright nickel finish. This baton can be used in almost situation including training. The Monadnock Positive Lock batons are lightweight, all aluminum batons. A push button feature keeps them from collapsing until they are needed to. They are a more traditional looking baton available in 18", 21", 24", and 36" lengths. The 36" length is perfect for a riot baton. The Monadnock PR-24 control batons are very similar to the traditional side handle batons. However, they feature a positive locking system and collapse. They are available in a black polycarbonate or hard coat anodized finish and 21" or 24" length. The Monadnock Monpac straight baton was first invented in 1958. This baton will not absorb moisture or deteriorate like traditional wood batons. The material of the baton is also stronger than the wood batons. Stock sizes of the baton are 22", 24", 26", 30", and 36". However, any custom order length can be accommodated. In addition to baton caps and tips, Monadnock manufactures holsters designed specifically for their batons. While Monadnock may be best known for their batons, they also manufacture restraints. Those restraints include disposable double cuffs, compact disposable cuffs, and single disposable cuffs. These disposable cuffs are great for riots or any other situation where permanent cuffs aren't the first choice. Not all states allow the public to have a baton so check your local laws to see if you can legally possess a Monadnock baton. Monadnock has been manufacturing police equipment for quite some time. They have always been a leader in the design and development of all of their police equipment products. With a full life time warranty, high quality products, there is no reason not to own a Monadnock police baton or restraint.
