About 7 years ago, my police department installed laptops in our police cars. At the time they choose Panasonic laptops to be installed in the trunk and a second touch screen monitor and keyboard near the center console. Panasonic has been making fully rugged laptops for quite some time. They have been proven to be a great laptop that can withstand the daily wear and tear in law enforcement.

I currently have a Panasonic Toughbook CF 30 in my car. The laptop features a 1.66 GHz Intel Core processor and 100 GB Sata hard drive with 3 GB of memory. We currently use Cingular for our wireless card connections. The laptop has all the equipment that is needed for its purpose when installed in a police car.

I have never had any problems with the laptop. The only problems I have are with the air card connection which has nothing to do with laptop. I have seen a few of these laptops drop and have never seen any problems with them. They are constructed of a heavy duty material that can hold up.

The Panasonic Toughbook CF 30 is a great laptop for police officers and I recommend it to anybody looking for a rugged laptop.
