A very common ballistic vest among law enforcement officers is the XTREME HP by American Body Armor.  The XTREME HP is constructed from the materials Dyneema, Goldflex, and Twaron.  The combination of these three materials results in a lightweight, flexible, and durable product that saves lives.  The XTREME HP is offered in a level II and level IIIA resistance.  At a mere .16 inches thick on the level II and .20 inches thick on the level IIIA vest, this vest is one the most comfortable vests available.
