LockWrite was started by a police officer in Riverdale, NJ. The inventor decided to combine two of the most common and often used tools in the police industry and created the LockWrite pen. The LockWrite pen comes with a 90 day warranty.

What is the LockWrite pen? The LockWrite pen is a fully functional writing utensil that also acts as a handcuff key. The pen uses a standard replaceable ink cartridge. The handcuff key is concealed on the bottom of the pen allowing it not to be noticed by people that don't need to know about it.

When Police Equipment Reviews received the LockWrite pen we were immediately impressed. The pen is a chrome color and has a very professional look. The pen writes like a normal pen and looks good in a uniform pocket. We tested the LockWrite pen out on some Smith & Wesson handcuffs and had no problems. It was very easy to use, both locking and unlocking.

The inventor of the LockWrite pen notified me that a gold version is soon to be manufactured and that the LockWrite pen works with all handcuffs except for the Asp handcuffs due to how thick the plastic is on those handcuffs.
